Some ideas for P4 HA curriculum = rationale/vision vs practical day to day implementation
Embedding C2015 outcomes with Gardner's 5 Minds for the future
Will look at their initial attempts - What are design principles utilised?
Looking for quality passes- vs designing a curriculum to stretch and cater to HA pupils - Is there a clash?
Prep for exams vs enriched curriculum - lack of alignment - Topics/Skills based -
What questions are being addressed or investigated?
How do we assess success or effectiveness of programme? What are our KPIs? What do we expect the pupils to be able to do? Lead and lag indicators?
Passed on a matrix looking at the 5 minds and C2015 outcomes and its accompanying principles.
Hope it will give the KPs and teachers some guidelines as to how to view the 5 minds from a more localised perspective.
Came up with some leading/guiding questions: What assumptions are we working with? What is the learning you want to bring about? What do you want to highlight or focus on? Why? Why is this learning important? Necessary? How does it connect/relate to past and future learning? What kind of experiences do we need to provide? What costs are involved? Time; Resources; Expertise What is most efficient? Effective? Do we integrate? (Across disciplines? Across contexts (school and real life) ) Is it Essential or good to have? What is PK required for the lessons/learning to succeed? What LOs within the national curriculum is the programme based on? How are these LOs unpacked or reconstructed to ensure they meet the needs of this group of pupils? How will pupils know they have progressed/succeeded? How do you know the programme has succeeded? Are the 2 previous goals/KPIs the same?
